AW Soccer Banquet

Our annual banquet will be held on December 6th at 6:30 PM in the Cafeteria at AWHS. All family members are invited and highly encouraged to attend.

 

The boys vs. girls game will start at 5:00 PM at the field.

JV Section

The Girls JV soccer team put a stamp on a successful seasoon with a 5-0 win at home over Bishop Connolly on Saturday. The win gave the team a fiinal overall record of 8-3-4 and 4-3-4 in the Catholic Central League. On Wednesday, Archies rallied from a 2-0 deficit to tie host Austin Prep 2-2 as Gen Grasso netted the equalizer in the final minute of the game.

The team had outstanding efforts throughout the season by a very special group of young ladies, led by tri-captains Jenn Dunphy, Louise McHale and Jenna Mingolelli. The defense, which allowed just 12 goals this season, was anchored by Jess Rega, Jenna Trotterman, Laureen LaFond, Catherine Morgan and Jenna Mingolelli. The midfield was spearheaded by Louise McHale, Jenn Dunphy, Erin Kearns, Bridget Higgins, Meghan O'Neil and Claudia Cellucci, while the team's attack was led by Victoria Butterfield, Elizabeth Pasquale, Gen Grasso, Jesse Lai, Kelsey Marino and Kiera Dwyer. The team also had outstanding goaltending performances by Andrea Liddell, Miranda Murphy and Laureen LaFond.

Coach McCall wishes to thank all of the girls for their hard work this season and the parents for their support. And congratulations to the girls varsity team and coach McClay for qualifying for the state tournament.
